Elon’s tuition is often $16,000 less than peer institutions, and our students graduate with a wealth of real-world experiences that support their transition to life after college and ensure they stand out when applying for a first job or graduate school. Applying for financial aid can seem daunting. It doesn’t have to be, especially since your chances for maximum aid increases the earlier you apply. Elon provides easy-to-follow steps, tips and all the necessary forms to guide you through the application process.

There are a variety of grants, scholarships and special programs available to help lower the cost of attendance. Money that doesn’t need to be repaid is naturally the most sought-after assistance. Elon has both need-based and merit-based aid available.

Our prestigious Honors Program and seven exceptional Fellows Programs are value-added, four-year experiences for academically talented high school students. From outstanding faculty support, scholarships, grants and peer networks, our Honors and Fellows programs will allow you to make the most of your time at Elon and will prepare you for a lifetime of work as a global citizen.

The four-year Odyssey Program is a selective program for academically strong, civically engaged, action-oriented leaders with demonstrated high financial need. Approximately 60 scholarships are available each year.

For students entering in fall 2024, Elon is pleased to offer two Commitment to Democracy Awards. Established in 2021 and built upon the hope for an end to terrorism and spread of democracy around the world, two scholarships will support students inside or outside the United States who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster, including but not limited to, Afghanistan, Syria and Haiti. The awards, which include endowed scholarships and other university funding, will support tuition, room and board for four years.
