Security DepartmentPolicies and Procedures Campus Security is responsible to enforce Elon University Rules & Regulations. The Office of Campus Safety and Police coordinate Security efforts on the Elon University campus. The primary responsibility of Campus Safety & Police is to provide a safe and secure campus environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors to campus. The Security Department in the form of foot, vehicle and bicycle patrols provide security 24 hours per day throughout the year. Through a modern communications network, patrol staff can contact police, fire or rescue personnel directly from their radio, giving the university immediate access to necessary personnel in the event of an emergency. Security Dispatchers have the ability to communicate with the police and security officers on patrol to monitor campus and surrounding community activities twenty-four hours daily.
