Mission Statement It is the mission of the Office of Substance Education to create an environment that promotes academic success and healthy lifestyles through comprehensive programming aimed to prevent and reduce the negative consequences from alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use. We strive to assist students, faculty, and staff in the adoption of a healthy lifestyle by providing individuals and groups with information, education and resources. To read Elon's Alcohol Position Statement, click here.Self-ScreeningClick on the link below to take a FREE self-assessment. This web-based screening can help you decide - in a few short minutes - whether professional consultation would be helpful to you. This screening is available to all Elon University students, and you remain anonymous unless you decide otherwise. Following the screening you'll receive an immediate result that can be printed and taken to a clinician for further evaluation. A screening test is not a substitute for a complete evaluation but it can help you learn if your symptoms are consistent with alcohol abuse and most importantly, how to get help. http://www.mentalhealthscreening.org/screening/login.asp?keyword=ELON
