Club Women’s Rugby

Club Women’s Rugby is a competitive and community-focused organization that welcomes students interested in continuing their rugby experience or trying the sport for the first time. The club emphasizes teamwork, skill development, and creating a supportive environment where players of all experience levels can learn and compete together.

No prior rugby experience is required to join the team. Members are taught the fundamentals of the game from the beginning, including techniques, strategy, and player safety, while experienced players continue developing their skills through practices, matches, and tournament competition throughout the year.

Recent Successes

Women’s Club Rugby continues to grow its competitive presence through matches and tournament play across the region. Recently, Elon was represented by a club member on the South Atlantic Rugby Conference Select Team at Tropical 7s, where the team finished with an undefeated 6–0 record and won its division, highlighting the strength and development of Elon’s players within regional competition.

Dues

Dues: approximately $55 per semester

Practices and Competitions

The team practices two to three evenings per week throughout the academic year. Members compete against collegiate club programs in the area while also traveling to tournaments and additional competition opportunities throughout the season.

Competitions and Opponents

The club competes against collegiate rugby clubs throughout the region in matches and tournaments.
