Elon sees success at 2018 American Physical Therapy Association Combined Sections Meeting

Eleven faculty members, one recently retired faculty member, multiple adjunct faculty members  20 students were among the more than 17,000 attendees at the conference.

The Department of Physical Therapy Education had great success at this year’s APTA Combined Sections Meeting in New Orleans. Eleven faculty members, one recently retired faculty member, multiple adjunct faculty members and 20 students were among the more than 17,000 attendees at the conference. Elon was well represented with 25 outstanding faculty, student and alumni presentations (see below for complete list).

More than 50 attendees comprised of faculty, students, alumni, and friends gathered at the Elon reception on Thursday night. The department recognized Amber Anderson DPT '11 as one of the first two Rising Alumni Award recipients, as she was unable to receive the award at the Class of 2017 graduation ceremony in December. The Office of Alumni Engagement provide giveaways at the reception and several Elon items were raffled off to an excited crowd.
