Hill, who held various positions during her 39 years at Elon, retired from the university in 2013.
Martha Hill, who served Elon in a variety of roles during her nearly four decades at the university, died Thursday, July 5.
At the time of her retirement in August 2013, Hill was serving as manager of the box office and program assistant for the Office of Cultural and Special Programs. She started working at Elon on July 1, 1974, and during her time at the university she also served as administrative assistant to the provost and program assistant in the School of Communications.
Hill was recognized as staff member of the year for the 1994-95 academic year.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 9, at Lowe Funeral Home in Burlington, N.C.
