The associate professor of music critiques a new textbook on vocal pedagogy.
Director of Choral Activities Stephen A. Futrell was engaged by Plural Publishing of San Diego, California, to review a proposed, new textbook on vocal pedagogy.
As part of a peer review panel, he was charged with adjudicating the proposed text and offering critique and suggestions on content, substance, form, and relevance.
“As a teacher of vocal technique, it was an honor to be invited to review materials that have the potential to enhance the field of vocal science and pedagogy,” Futrell said.
