Drinking Water Forum scheduled for Oct. 16

This forum is co-sponsored by the Cape Fear River Assembly and the Elon University Center for Environmental Studies and seeks to promote discussion and understanding of regional water issues.   

Elon will host a free forum on drinking water quality on Tuesday, Oct. 16, at 4 p.m. in McKinnon Hall in the Moseley Center. 

This forum is co-sponsored by the Cape Fear River Assembly and the Elon University Center for Environmental Studies and seeks to promote discussion and understanding of regional water issues. 

This forum will be an opportunity to explore the science and public policy of clean water in the Cape Fear River  Basin, including the Haw River, Cape Fear River and Jordan Lake. Water quality as it relates to the many emerging chemical compounds that are not well understood or regulated and other issues of concern will be discussed.

  • Mike Borchers, Water Resources Director for the City of Greensboro

After a refreshment break, there will be a chance to ask questions of the presenters as well as network with faculty and other students
