Mark Courtright receives Delta Sigma Pi award

The Lecturer in Management and faculty advisor for Elon’s chapter named the Chapter Advisor of the Year for the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Mark Courtright, lecturer in management in the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business, was honored with the 2018 Delta Sigma Pi Chapter Advisor of the Year for the Mid-Atlantic Region. Delta Sigma Pi Regional Vice President Aimee King presented the award at the chapter’s new member initiation meeting.

The award is presented annually to the advisor who excelled in service to the chapter and the fraternity.

King commended Courtright for his dedication and support of the chapter. “Ever since Phi Psi was just an idea and a goal of the now Brothers of the Chapter, Mark Courtright was there every step of the way, encouraging all members to be the best they can be,” King wrote in her nomination letter for Courtright. “When the Chapter was a Colony, Mark was the members’ right-hand-go-to person whom assisted with meeting rooms, and working with the business college.”

Elon’s Phi Psi chapter received its charter in November 2017. The organization strives to strike the perfect balance between the professional fraternity and other commitments students have. Members meet bi-weekly to learn from speakers, participate in workshops, and improve their networking skills. They apply what is learned in business classes to real world situations to shape a better business student and a better member of the Elon community.
