Alumna introduces online dance shows with 'So You Think You Can Dance' creator Nigel Lythgoe

Founded and directed by music theatre alumna Amanda Taylor '06, DanceOn has become the largest Global Online Dance Network via YouTube

Breaking boundaries where digital entertainment is concerned, Elon alumna Amanda Taylor leads DanceOn as a premier YouTube platform for dance networking. After graduating from Elon’s Music Theatre program, Taylor had significant involvement with the business side of Broadway before co-founding DanceOn with Madonna, Guy Oseary, and Machinima CEO Allen DeBevoise.

With more than 9.5 million subscribers, DanceOn provides a diverse range of programming, interactive competitions, and opportunities for followers and artists to collaborate and market themselves within the business.

In the coming year, Taylor and new partner Nigel Lythgoe plan to release two new online dance shows, “Dance School Diaries”, a docu-series following dancers training for the Youth American Grand Prix, and “Every Single Step”, a unique choreography competition testing the versatility, creativity and potential of up-and-coming-choreographers.
