Elon Academy: Transforming lives

Elon Academy first-year college students are thriving on campuses across the state. We have 20 graduates studying at 13 different colleges and universities.

College acceptances are coming in almost daily for our 21 Beta class seniors. These scholars have been accepted at almost 30 different institutions with more than half a million dollars in scholarship money so far. Acceptances include Furman, UNC-Chapel Hill, Winthrop, East Carolina University, and NC State. Six students have been accepted at Elon.

Once again, we have a Gates-Millennium Scholarship finalist, Araceli Morales-Santos. This will be our second Gates Scholar in two years.

Currently we are recruiting our fifth cohort of scholars, the Epsilon class. We had almost 250 requests for applications and 100 completed applications. We are interviewing 60 students and will select 26 for admission to the program in mid April. The Elon Academy is growing. With our new cohort we will be transforming the lives of more than 120 students and almost 300 family members.
