The Elon Jazz Ensemble is a big band, open by audition for Music majors and non-majors as well. The band performs classic and modern repertoire from a wide range of jazz and jazz-related styles and eras. Students develop their mastery of styles, ensemble playing, and improvisation.

The Jazz Ensemble regularly performs with guest artists which have Barry Harris, Joe Lovano, Carl Fontana, Phil Markowitz, Allison Miller, Ingrid Jensen, Mark Levine, and many more. The group has also toured internationally, including performing at festivals throughout Europe.

Jazz Ensemble rehearses Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30-2:10 pm, plus a TBA sectional one hour a week.
