Jazz Ensemble
Elon’s Jazz Ensemble concentrates on the key stylistic ingredients of “America’s Classical Music,” swing and improvisation. Each member of the ensemble is featured when the band performs its versions of standards, jazz classics and student arrangements.
Percussion Ensemble
The Percussion Ensemble performs a wide range of contemporary music for percussion including works by Chavez, Beck, Benson, and Varese. Marimbas, gongs, hand drums, and timpani blend with shakers, rattles, bells, and cymbals to form an intriguing and exciting ensemble sound.
Jazz Combos
Elon’s Jazz Combos place heavy emphasis on the individual roles and responsibilities of small group play.
