Television Studios and Control Rooms
The School of Communications hosts two television studios and two control rooms.
- Jane and Brian Williams Studio – a versatile broadcast center with all-LED lighting, HD cameras, flexible sets and exterior windows opening onto Citrone Plaza, a new streetscape in downtown Elon
- Virtual Studio with a green hard-wall cyclorama for video compositing and a white infinity wall
- Two HD-SDI control rooms with matching equipment, including a Ross Carbonite Black 2 ME video production switcher, a Ross Xpression motion graphics and video playback system and two Wheatstone 48-channel audio mixing consoles.
School of Communications Policies for Television Studios and Control Room
*** Before a reservation can be approved, students must go through a 30 minute informational session.
*** Studio reservations must be made seven days in advance.
*** The studio reservation system works best using Chrome or Firefox.
Studio and Control Room Production Plan
*** Television shows using a control room must complete a Studio and Control Room Production Plan 24 hours before the show.
