Wall Data Outlets

  • 4×4 standard electric box
  • Single gang plaster ring
  • 1″ EMT conduit w/pull string
  • Conduit runs up 6″ above ceiling w/ 90 degree bend and bushing at end

Floor data outlets

  • 1″ EMT conduit w/pull string
  • 4×4 standard electric box stubbed above floor 6″
  • NO FLUSH MOUNTED FLOOR BOXES UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED

Overhead Projectors

  • 2 each 1″ EMT conduits w/pull strings from floor under podium at front of room to center of ceiling
  • 1 each 1″ EMT conduit w/pull string from floor under podium at front of room runs up 6″ above ceiling with 90 degree bend and bushing at end
  • 110v duplex outlet attached to structure beside end of conduits in the ceiling, on dedicated power circuit

Feeder Conduits

  • Long sweep bends
  • Rigid conduit from exterior wall to equipment room

Wiring Closet

  • 328′ maximum run to outlet
  • One closet per building

Tele/data Equipment Room

  • Minimum room size is 8’x8′ (can share space with electric panels, but NOT motors and transformers)
  • Sized to allow access to three sides of equipment
  • Dedicated power circuits for equipment outlets
  • Two service power outlets
  • 6″ copper ground buss tied to building ground
  • Walls painted
  • Floor VCT or sealed
  • Ceiling not rigid
  • Lighting level for normal tasks
  • Temperature control between 55 to 80 F
  • No water sprinkler heads in room
  • Locate room on middle floor for multistory buildingsĀ (stack vertically)
  • Rigid conduit from main panel to outside
  • Sleeves through floor to other floor’s subpanels, and from top finish floor to attic
