Elon University offers terminal devices to organizations so they can accept Phoenix Cash as a form of payment. Readers are rented out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you wish to check out a Phoenix Card reader, please fill out the Phoenix Card Reader Request Form. If you are approved you will pick up your reader at the Phoenix Card Office in Oaks McCoy Commons, room 201.
Terms and Conditions
The Phoenix Card Office reserves the right to refuse any reader request and to remove equipment during an event. The requesting organization agrees to take full responsibility for the equipment during the reserved date/times in the event the equipment is damaged, lost, or stolen. A request form must be completed prior to picking up the equipment to ensure we properly credit your organization after the event is over. All payments made through the readers at an event will be transferred to the account number provided on the request form. By signing the request form you are acknowledging you have read, understand, and agree to the terms and conditions set forth in the request form.
Readers may be reserved for a total of three days per event, Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. unless otherwise approved by the Phoenix Card Office.
Weekend and Overnight Use
If your organization is requesting a reader for overnight or weekend use, the Phoenix Card Office requires an email from your organization’s advisor stating that your organization is responsible, that the reader will be kept in a safe place over night, and that he/she is aware of and approves of the organization’s use of the reader. Advisor emails can be sent to email@example.com. Without an advisor’s approval, weekend and overnight use of readers will not be granted.
Reader Return Information
If your organization is renting a reader during the week between the hours of 8:00 A.M and 5:00 P.M., the reader will need to be returned to the Phoenix Card Office before 5:00 P.M.
