“The People’s Pharmacy” hosts to visit Elon Jan. 8

Joe and Terry Graedon, hosts of the weekly radio talk show “The People’s Pharmacy,” will discuss alternative medicine in the new millennium during a talk at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 8 in Whitley Auditorium on the Elon College campus. The presentation is free and open to the public.

“The People’s Pharmacy” is syndicated to more than 500 radio stations in the United States and throughout the world on public radio and the Armed Forces radio and television network. The Graedons also write a nationally syndicated newspaper column and appear frequently on major national television programs, including NBC’s “Dateline” and ABC’s “20/20.”

The Graedons have co-authored eight books about pharmaceutical and health care issues, including “The People’s Guide to Deadly Drug Interactions” and “The People’s Pharmacy: Completely New and Revised.”

Their presentation is sponsored by Elon’s Liberal Arts Forum, the College of Arts and Sciences, the Winter Term millenium program and the Department of Biology.
