“Cherish the Ladies,” a traditional Irish band composed entirely of women, will perform at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 13 at McCrary Theatre, located on the Elon campus in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts.
Initially recognized as the first and only all-female Irish band, “Cherish the Ladies” is organized by folklorist/musician Mick Moloney and sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts. Seven musicians and two step dancers perform with a unique blend of instrumental talents, female vocals, captivating arrangements and stunning step dancing. They have been featured soloists with the Boston Pops and Cincinnati Pops orchestras and collaborated with the Boston Pops on their Grammy nominated Celtic album.
Tickets for the concert are $12 or free with Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
