House named director of development support

Nan Perkins, vice president for institutional advancement at Elon, has announced the hiring of Patricia House as director of development support.

House will be responsible for managing activities that support fundraising, including special events, donor relations and donor communications. She will also coordinate marketing and communications functions related to fundraising efforts.

“We are delighted to be able to hire someone of Pat’s experience, knowledge and ability to our team, and we look forward to the contributions she will make here,” Perkins said.

House joins the Elon staff after serving in various roles at Seton Hall University in South Orange, N.J., since 1986. She served as director of Seton Hall’s institutional image campaign, associate vice president for enrollment management, assistant provost for enrollment management and dean for enrollment services, admissions and financial aid.

She also worked as an admissions counselor, assistant director of admissions and associate director of admissions at Fairfield University in Fairfield, Conn., from 1979-1986.

House earned a bachelor’s degree from Boston College, a master’s degree from Fairfield and a doctorate from Seton Hall. Her husband, Steven, was named dean of Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences at Elon University, in July.
