Jazz ensemble concert, Nov. 17

Elan, Elon University’s jazz ensemble, will present a concert featuring Latin, Cuban, Jamaican and Brazilian influenced jazz during a concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 17 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Stephen Futrell, Elan will pay special tribute to Antonio Carlos Jobim, the Brazilian composer whose influence on jazz was praised by musicians such as Frank Sinatra and Dizzy Gillespie.
