A traditional Moravian Christmas service will be held at 5 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Elon Community Church. Sponsored by the Elon University chaplain’s office, the service is reminiscent of the tradition early Moravian settlers brought from Germany to North Carolina. The service includes the children’s Christmas carol, “Morning Star,” pure beeswax candles and a simple fellowship meal of coffee and a Moravian bun.
