The River City Brass Band will perform in concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 12 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Faith Rockefeller Model Center for the Arts on the Elon campus.
The 29-member River City Brass Band , under the direction of Denis Colwell, is the only professional concert band in the nation which performs all year. Performing fanfares, anthems, hymns and folk melodies, River City was founded in 1981, has its own syndicated program on National Public Radio and has produced twelve popular recording.
This performance is supported by the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, a state agency funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
Tickets are $12 or free with Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open between 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
