“The Miracle Worker” on stage March 18

The courageous and inspiring story of Helen Keller, deaf and blind since infancy, will be portrayed on stage when the Montana Repertory Theatre presents "The Miracle Worker" at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 18, in McCrary Theatre. Details...

The performance is part of the Anne Ellington Powell Master Artist Series, which brings internationally acclaimed artists in dance, drama and music to Elon.

“The Miracle Worker” chronicles the story of Keller and her gifted tutor, Anne Sullivan. With Sullivan’s help, Keller overcomes seemingly insurmountable obstacles to enter the world of knowledge and understanding.

The Montana Repertory, an equity company based at The University of Montana, has been touring for 33 years. Principal roles are played by actors whose past credits include Broadway runs and national tours of “A Chorus Line,” “Crimes of the Heart,” “Cabaret” and “Steel Magnolias.”

Tickets for the performance are $12 or free with Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
