Sessions for online students are underway

If you registered for one of Elon’s Web-based courses this summer, please make plans to attend one of the 30-minute sessions listed below. As indicated in the pre-registration booklet on Web-based courses, attendance is mandatory. Faculty will be notified of your attendance.

All sessions will be held in Belk 113, the computer classroom on the ground floor of the library. No registration is necessary.

Many of the faculty teaching these online courses will meet with their students either directly before or after one of these sessions. Consequently, please check with your instructor* to determine which session you should attend. Some instructors will meet with students separately; in that case, just attend whichever session is most convenient for you.

In each session, we’ll:

– Explain how to get access Elon Library resources from off-campus;

– Discuss troubleshooting and how to get technical support during the summer term; and

– Demonstrate some features in Blackboard that you may be unfamiliar with but which will likely be used in your summer course (e.g., discussion forums, online quizzes, the digital dropbox, and editing your home page.).

Sessions will be held at the following times:

Wednesday, 4/23, 4:00-4:30 p.m.

Thursday, 4/24 4:30-5:00 p.m.

Wednesday, 4/30, 4:00-4:30 p.m.
