Elon will hold its second-annual surplus computer sale on Tuesday August 19. The sale will take place in McEwen 207 from 9 a.m.- to 4 p.m.
A variety of computers will be available for sale. These computers will include Windows- based machines ranging from PII 266MHZ processors to PIII 450MHZ processors. A limited number of Mac’s will also be available. Each computer will include Windows 98, (or Mac OS 9.1), a monitor, keyboard and mouse. Prices will range from $150 to $400 each.
Things to know:
*The sale is intended for Elon faculty, staff and students.
*Each computer will be clearly marked with the price, processor speed, system memory
and hard drive size.
*Computers will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
*No reserves or advanced sales can be made.
*All computers will be sold “as is” with no warranty expressed or implied. No technical support will be offered.
* Only cash or check will be accepted as payment.
*Buyers are responsible to remove the computer and all its peripherals at the time of
purchase.
*No laptop computers will be available for sale.
*These computers do not have modems. But they do have network cards.
