Research by Byung Lee and Janna Anderson will be presented by Lee at the 19th annual conference of the International Society for the Scientific Study of Subjectivity Oct. 2-4, 2003 at Kent State University in Canton, Ohio.
The title of the research is “Internet Use: Comparison of Adults with College Students.” Anderson assisted Lee, the primary author of the work, which is based on two earlier research efforts at Elon University: “One Neighborhood, One Week on the Internet,” led by Anderson; and “An Analysis of Internet Adopters,” written by Lee with assistance from Anderson, which was published in Operant Subjectivity in October 2001.
The October ISSSS conference will feature 50 participants from North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. Their presentations will illuminate such diverse topics as creativity, municipal planning, medicine and health, politics, media and communication, education, psychotherapy and counseling, poverty and economic development, non-profit strategic planning, risk assessment, consumer behavior, euthanasia, and women’s issues among others.
The ISSSS was originally formed by scholars interested in the ideas of William Stephenson, a British physicist and psychologist who developed systematic and scientific procedures (called “Q methodology”) for studying subjectivity.
Lee is an accomplished Q researcher, with many peer-reviewed works published and presented.
