The wreath was sent by James Holmes, the father of Elon student Sarah Holmes, of Atlanta.
A 30-year Navy veteran, James Holmes had a wreath delivered to his daughter’s high school, Woodward Academy, each Veterans’ Day. The school was formerly known as Georgia Military Academy and its campus has several statues honoring graduates who served in the two World Wars, Korea and Vietnam.
