Department of Performing Arts presents “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” Feb. 12-15

The Department of Performing Arts will present “The Mystery of Edwin Drood,” Thursday-Sunday, Feb. 12-15 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m., Thursday-Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

“The Mystery of Edwin Drood” is set in London’s Music Hall Royale, where the resident acting troupe is about to embark on the premier performance of the musical, based on an unfinished Charles Dickens novel. The audience contributes to the outcome of the performance by “voting” for the most likely solution. This melodramatic parody of an intricate Dickens plot ensures a hysterical evening for the audience.

The performance is directed and choreographed by Linda Sabo. Admission is $12 or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 12:30-5 p.m.
