Pianist Emanuel Ax with The N.C. Symphony at Elon, March 4

The North Carolina Symphony, featuring Grammy award-winning pianist Emanuel Ax and guest conductor Jahja Ling, will grace the stage of McCrary Theatre at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 4, on the campus of Elon University.

Ax, known for his poetic lyricism and brilliant technique, is considered one of the most highly regarded musicians of today. The internationally acclaimed artist has received equal praise for his concert, chamber and recital performances.

Ling, an internationally renowned conductor with a reputation for musical intensity and expressiveness, has conducted nearly all the major symphony orchestras in North America, including Boston, Chicago, Detroit and New York.

Admission is by ticket only. Tickets are $38 or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
