Broadway casting director to offer master class, March 1

David Clemmons head of Dave Clemmons Casting in New York City, will offer a master class featuring performances by six Elon students at 6 p.m., Monday, March 1 in Yeager recital hall in the Center for the Arts.

Clemmons casts Broadway, off-Broadway, National Tours and Regional Theatre. Broadway shows include: The Boys From Oz and The Civil War. National tours include: Cinderella, The Civil War, Cats, Swing!, South Pacific, Fosse, Jekyll and Hyde, Chicago, Grease, and Starlight Express. Off-Broadway shows include: Bat Boy; Love, Janis; The Prince & The Pauper; Zanna Don’t!; Dragapella; The Donkey Show; the 2000 revival of Godspell. He was also the producer and casting director for La Jolla Playhouse, Alley Theatre, Helen Hayes Performing Arts Center and The Lost Colony.

Dave Clemmons was most recently seen on Broadway in The Civil War. He has also been in the Broadway casts of The Scarlet Pimpernel and Les Miserables. He can be also heard on The Scarlet Pimpernel concept album as well as the double CD of Jekyll and Hyde and The Civil War. He is currently working on a Broadway production of Brooklyn.
