Elon University today announced its football radio crew for the 2004 season. David Hibbard will handle the play-by-play duties this season while both Matt Pencola and Alan Matthews will be returning in 2004. Pencola will return to color commentary and Matthews will roam the Phoenix sideline during games.
This season, Elon will make its first attempt to broadcast all of its football and men’s basketball contests over the Elon Athletics web site (www.elon.edu/athletics). Phoenix fans will be able to listen to all the game action as well as the pre and post game shows for both sports. The broadcasts are slated to begin with Elon’s first football game on September 4 at 2:00 p.m vs. Towson. The pregame show will begin at 1:30 p.m.
To listen via the webcast, it is recommended that fans have a minimum of Windows 2000, 128 megs ram and 1 gig of speed as well as the most recent version of Quicktime. The broadcast will work best with a high speed internet connection.
