Rubeck attends theatre conference in Toronto

Fred Rubeck, associate professor of performing arts, was actively involved in the programming at the Association for Theatre in Higher Education conference in Toronto, July 28-Aug. 1.

Rubeck made a presentation titled “Training Your Students to ‘Nail’ that Audition.” He also served as producer and coordinator for the staged readingn of the David Mark Cohen award-winning play “Archipelago” by LeeAnne Smith Adams.

Rubeck was chosen as Awards Committee chair for the Playwrights Program focus group, and was elected conference planner for the Playwrights Program focus group for the next two conferences in San Francisco and Chicago.

In addition to his activities at the conferece, Rubeck also directed “Damn Yankees” and “My Fair Lady” at the Lakes Region Summer Theatre in Meredith, N.H.
