Spencers bring magic to Elon stage, September 24

The husband and wife team of Kevin and Cindy Spencer will dazzle the audience with their art of illusion during a performance at 7 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.

Named Performing Arts Entertainers of the Year for six consecutive years, the Spencers use magic, music, comedy, suspense and special effects to perform a variety of puzzling feats.

The Spencers have also been recognized for their efforts with the “Healing of Magic” program, which uses the tools of magic to help treat the effects of spinal cord injuries, strokes and accidents. They have been nominated for the Jefferson Award for Public Service, sponsored by the Kennedy Foundation, and have received the Outstanding Young Virginian Award from the Virginia Jaycees.

Tickets for the performance are $12 or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
