Costello moderates panel, presents research at conference

Vic Costello participated in a conference hosted by the University of South Carolina’s School of Journalism and Mass Communications October 14-16. The conference theme was The Digital Revolution: The Impact of Digital Media and Information Technologies. Participants included more than sixty journalism and communication educators from across the United States. Costello moderated the panel “Media Without Borders! Practical Advice for Designing an Introductory Skills Course.” His presentation, “The Backpack Professor: Teaching Digital Storytelling in a Convergence Era” was based on his involvement with Digital Media Convergence (JCM 220), a relatively new core requirement for Communications and Journalism majors at Elon.
