The Elon University chamber orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18 in McCrary Theatre located in the Center for the Arts on campus.
New Director Thomas R. Erdmann will lead the orchestra in Mozart’s Symphony No. 1 as well Haydn’s Symphony No. 1. Featured soloist and Elon music faculty member Tony Sawyer will perform one of the most famous pieces for xylophone and orchestra, “Fantasy On Japanese Woodprints” by Alan Hovhaness. This event is free and open to the public.
