Holocaust survivor Faber to speak November 8

Holocaust survivor David Faber will speak at 7:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 8 in Whitley Auditorium on the Elon University campus. The Liberal Arts Forum, Hillel, the History Department, and the Resident Student Association are the sponsors for this event.

Faber was born in Poland in 1926 and suffered Nazi persecution from 1939-1945. He witnessed the murder of his parents and six of his seven siblings during the Holocaust and was imprisoned in eight different concentration camps, including Auschwitz. Faber speaks to fulfill the promise he made to his mother, “to tell the world.”

Tickets are available for $12 or free for those with valid Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased by calling the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. All proceeds will be donated to American Veterans.
