Elon chapter earns American Chemical Society recognition

Elon’s Student Affiliates chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) has been chosen to receive a Commendable award for its activities during the 2003-2004 academic year.

More than 10,000 students participate in the Society’s Student Affiliates program through 960 chapters at colleges and universities in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Every chapter is required to submit a summary of its activities annually. Elon’s chapter received one of the 52 commendable awards presented.

Advised by faculty members Karl Sienerth and Paul Weller, the chapter will be honored at the 229th ACS national meeting in San Diego in March.
