Planning for the redesign began in June, says Kathy Scarborough, Campus Shop manager. The facility includes new murals featuring photographs from a variety of campus locations and events, new flooring, new racks and display shelves for clothing, and bookshelves on wheels that allow for different configurations of floor space.
Along with the redesign, Scarborough says the shop has added an expanded line of products, including Tommy Hilfiger college apparel and Fossil watches. A variety of items will be available at special sale prices through Wednesday, Nov. 24 as part of the re-opening celebration.
The Campus Shop also held a drawing Thursday that made a student and staff member winners. Student Suzy Barber won free textbooks for the spring 2005 semester, while Mary Ann Inabnit, library public services clerk, won a $200 Barnes & Noble gift certificate.
