Education faculty Bird Stasz, Deborah Long and Glenda Crawford were participants at the 10th Anniversary Conference of the International Step by Step Association (ISSA) in Budapest, Hungary on November 8-10. In a decade ISSA, which focuses on early childhood education and family involvement in Central, Eastern, and Southern Europe, has grown from 15 countries and 252 preschool classrooms to a network of 30 countries and 24,172 kindergarten and primary classrooms. The Elon team will return to Tajikistan in March 2005 for the second phase of their consultation with Tajik teacher educators.
