Founded in 1954, Boston Camerata has fascinated and charmed audiences in Europe, Singapore, Israel, Japan, Mexico and Canada. Under the direction of Joel Cohen, their recordings have garnered extensive recognition including a number of international awards. This program will be a provocative mix of early art song and modern folksong illustrating the transmission of both “high” and popular culture from Renaissance Europe to North America.
