The Swingle Singers continue an outstanding music tradition that began more than 30 years ago in Paris. When Ward Swingle formed the group they became an instant hit, winning Grammies for Best Performance by a Chorus and a Grammy for Best New Artist. When the group disbanded in the early ‘70s Swingle moved to London and reformed the group, expanding their repertoire to include romantic composers, jazz greats and pop classics. These talented vocalists move effortlessly from a cappella arrangements to orchestral overtures to big band favorites. Elon’s own, élan, will perform as well.
