David Rosand, “Titian: Sacred and Profane”

Art History at Elon Speaker Series

One of the world’s most esteemed specialists on the Venetian Renaissance painter Titian, Rosand has written four books featuring this artist, as well as books on modern artist Robert Motherwell and recently Myths of Venice: The Figuration of a State. He was awarded the Great Teacher Award of the Society of Columbia Graduates and is currently working on a digital imaging project dealing with Raphael’s frescoes in the Vatican.
