Huanxing Zeng, a faculty member in the department of choreography at Beijing Dance Academy in China, will offer master classes in dance during the first week of the spring semester at Elon. The classes will take place from 4-5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 1 and Thursday, Feb. 3 in the Koury Center large dance studio. Zeng will also offer a taichi class from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 3 in the same studio.
Zeng received a BFA in modern dance from the Beijing Dance Academy in China. He was a member of the first modern dance company in China, Guangdong Modern Dance Company from 1996 to 1998, and he has performed and taught internationally at many universities and professional dance companies such as Nationality University in Beijing, Shanghai Dance Academy, China Central Ballet Company and Shanghai Ballet Company.
