Marine biologist Dudzinski to deliver Voices of Discovery lecture, Feb. 17

Kathleen Dudzinski will discuss the fascinating world of dolphins and other marine life during a Voices of Discovery lecture titled “Inside a Dolphin’s Mind” at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 17 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts. Details...

Dudzinski’s unique research has offered insights into the way dolphins communicate with each other. In 1999, she founded the Dolphin Communication Project, a private, nonprofit research foundation whose mission is to gain knowledge about marine mammals, increase public awareness and promote conservation. She was chosen as the lead scientist for “Dolphins,” a documentary nominated for an Academy Award in 2001.

Tickets for the lecture are $12 or free with Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased at the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.

The Voices of Discovery science speaker series, sponsored by Elon College, the College of Arts and Sciences, invites noted scholars in science and mathematics to Elon to share their knowledge and experience with students.
