The Elon University Wind Ensemble will offer its tribute to the music of John Williams with a concert at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 16 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus. The concert is free and open to the public.
Director of Bands Tony Sawyer will lead the ensemble in a concert dedicated to the movie, television, and ceremonial music from one America’s most popular and successful orchestral composers. Williams is the winner of many awards, including five Academy Awards and 17 Grammies. The program will include award-winning favorites such as “The Empire Strikes Back,” “Harry Potter,” and “Raiders of the Lost Ark.”
