Monica Parson, Ed.D., was the lead author of the article, Spina Bifida and Latex Allergies–A Review and Recommendations for Teachers, which was published in the latest Winter volume of Palaestra. Palaestra is a Journal of Sport, Physical Education and Recreation for those with disabilities, and is published quarterly in cooperation with the Adapted Physical Activity Council of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, and with the United States Paralympics, a division of the U. S. Olympic Committee.
