Tony Sawyer, Elon’s director of bands, will be teaching on the faculty of The Atlanta Percussion Seminar at Emory University May 30 – June 3. This one-week intensive percussion seminar consists of master classes, clinics and performances for middle school through college- age students. Sawyer is one of five faculty members who run the seminar that is in its 15th year. The Atlanta Percussion Seminar is hosted by Emory University and Mark Yancich, timpanist for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
