Renovation work continues on several buildings on South Campus. Contractors are in the first phase of work on Johnston Hall, which will house Advancement and Alumni and Parent Relations staff. Almost 100 new parking spaces will be added at South Campus this summer.

Expansion work on the existing greenhouse at McMichael Science Center this summer will make room for an engineering workshop, including space for robotics design and construction. The workshop will also include basic tools for metal and wood works, such as hand drills, hacksaws and soldering equipment.

A renovation project at Staley Hall in Harper Center will begin this week. New carpeting, lighting, furniture and other features will be installed.

Work will begin in late summer on a 500-bed residence hall complex at the current site of Jordan Center. The two-phase project will be completed by fall 2006 and the new complex will be called The Oaks.

Construction work continues on the new law school facility in downtown Greensboro. Demolition of the previous interior was completed in May, and contractor bids for the remainder of the renovation work are due June 30. Work will be finished in April/May 2006.
