Maureen Ihrie and Ernie Lunsford of the Department of Foreign Languages delivered a presentation titled “Making Connections: Social Commentary, Pop Music and High Tech” at the 2005 international conference of the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese in New York City on July 31. Their presentation showcased a multi-media project involving music, images and a variety of online exercises adaptable to conversation, composition and culture classes at the middle and upper levels of language learning. The project was developed with technical support from Scott Windham and Deborah Ellington.
