The a cappella group Chapter 6 will perform on at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 28 in McCrary Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts on the Elon University campus.
Chapter 6 has received numerous awards for their technique and unique arrangements. In 2000, Chapter 6 became the youngest group to ever win the Chicago Harmony Sweepstakes, and has won the sweepstakes title three consecutive terms. In 2004, the group won the Grand Champion title at the National Harmony Sweepstakes. Their concerts feature a comedy-infused blend of jazz, gospel, and rock with a diverse repertoire ranging from freshly-arranged swing standards and covers, to signature pieces such as “Ode to Krispy Kreme” and crowd-favorite, “The Wizard of Oz.”
Tickets for the performance are $12, or free with Elon identification. Tickets may be purchased at the McCrary Theatre box office at (336) 278-5610. The box office is open from 12:30 p.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
